As a dance teacher, ESL Instructor, assistant stylist, and performer, I’ve always been in love with acquiring information about new movement techniques and gathering useful knowledge to teach myself and others. This thirst for knowledge played a huge role when I strained my back in 2013 and decided to take my first Pilates class to aid in my recovery.
Where I once felt weakness and pain, I began feeling strong, aligned and alive! From then on, I was determined to take more classes and add Pilates to vary my workouts together with dance, yoga, kickboxing, and hiking.
When I was diagnosed with Grave’s Disease in 2016, I was advised by doctors to be careful not to overexert myself doing cardio, I knew Pilates was the safest, yet most effective exercise for me.
Naturally being a forever student, I dove right into Pilates teacher training with PSC Studio City and Pilates Sports Center in 2017. I have received my Certification in Pilates Mat and Reformer, Prenatal/Postnatal Pilates and in Ladder Barrel and Spine corrector apparatuses. I am enrolled in continuing education workshops and working towards additional certifications in Cadillac and Wunda Chair.
I have been teaching in the dance and fitness industry for about 25 years, and currently work with thriving studios in the San Fernando area such as Body by Paolo, X-tend Pilates, and Reform Fit. I also often teach at Movement Lifestyle Dance Studio.
